In this 2-part live workshop, we will go through the design process from beginning to end based on your own photo(s) of a building(s) or other structural elements.
I will be sharing my approach to design, colour and materials, but we will start with a lesson on the basics of perspective drawing (no drawing skills needed!) so you will have an understanding of how to create accurate depth in a building.
I will also share a variety of tips and tricks you can use to create your own original design that reflects your style and creativity. No previous art or drawing skills necessary, just a willingness to play along!
Thursdays November 9th and 16th, 6:00pm to 8pm Eastern Time
The Zoom link invitation will be sent via email (please be sure to include your email when checking out).
*I will not be teaching 'how to hook' in this workshop, but rather 'how to design'. Open to all levels and types of rug hookers or rug punching
*Class size is limited so there is always time for questions and creative conversation.
*Each session is recorded so you can rewatch or catch up if you need to miss a class.
*Materials are not provided but your will need: paper, pencil, marker (eg. sharpie), ruler, hook, hoop/frame, the backing fabric of your choice, scissors, images/photos of architecture you love, a variety of wool/yarn in colours that appeal to you.
