In this 2 part online workshop (on Zoom) you will learn how to take a photograph of a flower, learn different ways to create your own pattern from it (exploring how much detail is just right for you) and then hook it with a variety of yarns and materials. And since this little rug is not meant for the floor, I will show you how to mount on gallery canvas to hang on your wall. By the end of this workshop you will have the skills needed to finish hooking your rug and create a whole garden of hooked flowers!
Saturdays, August 13th and 20th, 10am to noon EST (Ottawa time)
*The focus of this class is how to design and colour plan your own original flower rug. 'How to rug hook' will not be covered, but only basic skills are needed.
*There is no kit for this class, you will use your own photograph and materials. However, if you would like a custom kit and/or other materials, please reach out and I can assist.
*I am happy to share some of my photos of flowers if you don't have your own to use
*Class size is limited so there is lots of time for Q&As and creative conversations
*I record all my classes and only share the recording with those registered for the class. That way if you miss part or all of a session, you can rewatch at your convenience.
*Once registered, you will received an email PDF with the Zoom link.
