Description: Join us for an engaging one-day workshop where you’ll learn how to create a delightful double-sided rug! In this workshop, you'll make a 4-inch ornament featuring the moon on one side and a star on the other, finished with a unique ‘cheater whipped’ edge. This double-sided technique offers a fun twist to your repertoire of rug making skills!
Using a Fine Oxford Punch Needle is recommended for this project, but traditional rug hooking works as well. You’ll need a hoop or frame without a base attachment, as you’ll be working on both sides of the backing fabric.
What’s included:
The workshop fee covers a complete kit with a pre-drawn design on monks cloth and all necessary yarn.
What to bring:
- A small no-slip hoop (10” to 14”) or gripper strip frame (10” to 14”) that will allow access to both sides of the fabric (not attached to a base)
- scissors
- Oxford Punch Needle #9 Fine or #10 Fine, or a rug hook. Oxford punch needles will be available to borrow or purchase at the workshop.
