Learn Chéticamp Style Rug Hooking BACKGROUNDS Workshop and Kit!
In this online workshop you will learn the fundamentals of 4 traditional backgrounds used in Chéticamp style rug hooking while making this 8"x8" sampler. The kit includes the pattern on burlap (the preferred backing for this style hooking) and the fine wool yarn required. A handmade Chéticamp style hook is optional.
Tuesday February 25th 2025 , 6:30 to 8:30 PM Eastern Time
- Live on Zoom and recording shared with registered students
- The colours in each kit will vary and may not be the same as those shown in the sample photo. This makes every mat truly one-of-a-kind!

About the teacher:
Betty Ann Cormier is originally from Chéticamp, Nova Scotia. Learning from her maman, Betty Ann is the fourth generation who took up the craft of rug hooking 58 years ago. She designs, hooks and dyes her own wool. She has been teaching rug hooking for over 15 years .
