These original designs were created uniquely for Creativity Club members!

$30 CAD will be sent to Multicolores for each pattern sold. This is a PDF download that you will print, tape together and transfer to the backing of your choice (I will demo how to do this during meet-ups)
In April and May 2025, we will discuss how to prepare and hook (or punch!) with used stretchy fabrics like t-shirts, leggings etc during meet-ups.  Of course these patterns would also be beautiful in yarn or wool fabric!

About the Multicolores artists who designed these patterns:

Geometric Design by Tomasa Ventura Cumez
Tomasa lives with her parents and 7 brothers and sisters in Quiejel.  Tomasa has been rug hooking since 2015. Tomasa’s designs radiate energy and vitality, with the distinctive bold colors that characterize weavings from Chichicastenango.
“My inspiration comes from the rich heritage of traditional costumes, and I take pride in creating works that reflect my culture and identity. Most importantly, my work allows me to financially support my family. When people see my rugs, I want them to understand the important meaning behind each piece. They represent our traditions, our identity and our culture.

I appreciate the wide range of workshops and trainings we receive at Multicolores. With each new piece of information, I felt my curiosity blooming. I feel empowered by taking part in such a wide-ranging learning experience. I’ve always had my own dreams and have always wanted to achieve something big.”

Floral Design by Yolanda Churunel Ajú

Yolanda lives in the rural community of Chuacruz with her mother, father and three sisters. Yolanda has been rug hooking since was 2016.

I find inspiration in everything around me, from the vibrant village life to the lush trees and colorful traditional clothing. Through my work, I aim to capture our rich cultural identity and the thoughts and feelings that make us who we are. I am blessed with natural talents and skills, and I am grateful for the unwavering support of my family. One of my biggest aspirations is to travel the world, to witness firsthand the impact of my work and to learn from other cultures. To those who appreciate my work, I extend my sincerest gratitude and encourage you to support other artists and talents. Your support means a lot to us in the village, as it helps us to improve and grow. “

  • Both artists  will also be hooking their patterns and their mats will be for sale to Creativity Club members in the fall 2025!
  • One rug per PDF Pattern, for personal use only (not for resale)
